BetMGM, and every other US-facing sports betting operator, are fighting desperately to carve out territory in the red-hot US market. That means operators are taking every opportunity they can find to get out in front of potential customers, while exploring new venues for getting to those customers. That’s why the new strategic partnership between BetMGM and SportsGrid, a new, streaming service that carries only sports betting content, is not surprising.
Under the terms of the partnership, BetMGM will be providing content, odds, and other services to the content creators at SportsGrid. Details of the arrangement appear to still be ongoing, so what that content looks like – and when it starts – are still not clear.
What is clear is that SportsGrid viewers should be prepared for a full-court press from BetMGM in the form of branded promotions and, of course, up-to-the-minute betting odds. BetMGM will not only be providing branded odds, for SportsGrid, they’ll also be producing some content, too.
Adam Greenblatt, BetMGM CEO commented on the new partnership in a recent press release saying, “SportsGrid is making big waves in the streaming world, creating a new avenue for fans to consume sports betting content. This collaboration allows us to further expand BetMGM’s reach to our fans through SportsGrid’s nationwide broadcast network.”
SportGrid President and co-founder, Louis Maione was similarly enthusiastic saying, “We are proud to deliver real-time BetMGM data and intelligence to millions of sports fans. This relationship with a recognized leader in the industry helps us better super-serve the gaming community and further cements our position as the premier sports gaming and lifestyle network.”
BetMGM’s sports betting products are currently available to players in 21 US States.
