June 2, 2009 (CAP Newswire) — The 40th annual World Series of Poker (WSOP) kicked off last week at the Rio in Las Vegas, and the first several bracelet winners have already been crowned.
But this event is more of a marathon than a one-off, so there’s still plenty of time to get involved. Leading poker websites like Full Tilt Poker, Everest Poker, Titan Poker, and PokerStars are holding low buy-in qualifiers, and will be for the next several weeks, at least.
That means that players are going to be ramping up their visits (and their Google searches) for all things WSOP and even more general poker interest is expected. Coverage is flooding the Internet as well as television, radio, print, and other media. The bottom line? It's a perfect opportunity for poker affiliates to grab some extra traffic.
