November 6, 2008 (InfoPowa News) — In what appears to be a reaction to the additional hassle of doing business in America following the Kentucky attempt to confiscate domain names, Vegas Affiliates has served notice that it will no longer accept new U.S. players.
The online gambling group, which includes among its subsidiaries well established venues like Grand Hotel Casino, Colosseum Casino, Vegas Joker Casino, Vegas Country Casino, Vegas Slot Casino and Vegas 7 Casino, announced on its blog this week:
"Vegas Affiliates would like to bring to the attention of all our affiliates some important changes that we have had to implement due to various factors.
"We regret to inform you that, effective November 10th 2008, we will not be accepting any new players from the U.S.
"All existing players registered from the U.S. will be allowed to continue to operate their accounts until further notice.
"We will continue to accept affiliates from the U.S. We would also like to assure you that most of our operations have been non-U.S. based; therefore we will not be affected in any way [by excluding new U.S. players].
"While we find this a tough decision to make, we are excited at the same time with the opportunities that are in store as we now have a chance to focus entirely on non-U.S. markets. We thank you for your continued support and look forward to working with you focussing on the new markets in the days to come.
"For any clarification whatsoever in this regard, please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected]."
