“Gambling Starts With Games”
So there was an anti-gambling campaign in Australia that simply said “Gambling starts with Games.” It was targeted at children and their parents, probably.
The idea was that parents need to be careful what they allow their children to do, and that seemingly harmless activities can become big problems in the future.
Well, the government had to say something about that ad. And that something eventually led to shutting the whole thing down:
“It should be recognized that any sort of gambling during adolescence does not necessarily lead to gambling during adulthood. Although early exposure may familiarize young people with gambling, it does not always follow that involvement or interest in gambling at a younger age will be associated with subsequent gambling”
