#1: Preet Bharara
While few in iGaming are a fan of Black Friday mastermind Preet Bharara, it’s hard to deny his influence. Even Time Magazine has taken note of the current U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York including him on a cover of their issue and on their Top 100 Most Influential People in the World list. Bharara received that notoriety for his efforts on prosecuting insider-trading cases and targeting other misdeeds of Wall St. banks. But to iGaming, Bharara will forever be known as the person who brought the U.S. online poker market to its knees in a single day by indicting founders and operators of PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker and Absolute Poker/UB.
