    OK.

So what really is the best way to get reliable link partners.

Without reaching out to total strangers via email.
Is it CAP or places like linkedin and personal website research.

I am going with an easy answer here. Best to hire a link-building agency so they can do all the work for you. If that’s not the perfect answer, then you can always check and see where your competitors are getting their links and then try to contact those websites.

There are places online that sell links, but whether they are reliable or not, who knows. With Google banning some of the major ‘link-farm’ websites a few months back, this is a very risky game.

Have any reliable link-building agency suggestions?

There are a lot of crummy ones out there.

Not sure if OK to mention this hear, but the TOPSEOS .com website features the best agencies based on their skills. Simply select USA, Australia, UK etc from the top of the menu, depending on your desired traffic, and then click View Rankings. From there, you can choose from a number of categories, ie. Link Building, Social Media Marketing, Local SEO etc.. and see the top rated agencies. Compile a list and contact them, telling them exactly what you expect from them.

After that, you can make an informed decision if any of these agencies meet your criteria.

Based on their PR at least, it looks like a good place to start.

    Thanks.

That is correct, and keep in mind, bigger is not always better. Some small agencies might be able to do a better
job than some of the really big ones that go after huge accounts. Just make sure they are up-to-date with all Google developments and that they know what they are talking about.

    You are welcome.

I’ve always found that the best way to gain reliable link partners is by meeting face to face at conferences, generally I’ll do people a favour 1st whether it be a bit of SEO advice or putting them in touch with someone who is of use to them.

I think building relationships is a much better way to do it than simply asking out and out.

Build relationships with people on the forums if you can’t get to conferences and remember that asking for links should not be your starting point in the conversation. Make friends and long term lasting relationships. Not just quick wins. That is the best way to find reliable link partners. (Also make sure you have a site worth linking to).

I’m actually inclined to agree with you there bingofind, big agencies and middle sized affiliates don’t mix well, there are a lot of agencies that run the pile them high model and just drain little accounts without doing very much at all. Not all agencies just some, I remember walking out of an interview at one that did just that because I essentially saw that as their business model and didn’t want to kill my career that way XD

But, having said that, an agency with a gambling department or at least someone who has worked in this sector is essential. I know that a lot of generalist SEO’s that don’t work in competitive markets just don’t get what they need to do in iGaming.
