Inactivegot this email today
Quote:I hope you’re well. After meeting with the management yesterday I have been asked to de-activate all affiliate accounts for affiliates based in the US, so sorry about this but from this week I will be making your account inactive in the affiliate system. If you can please remove any Genting brand (Genting Casino, Circus Casino, Genting Poker or Circus Poker) from your websites as soon as possible, that would be appreciated. All these casinos will promptly be in my rogue section today!

InactiveSo what happens to the players you sent them in the past.. If they keep paying you on those players wouldn’t be too bad, it would be that they just don’t want you to send them more traffic.. But if there going to keep your players, and not pay you on past players future revenue, that just wouldn’t be right

So they are shutting down US affiliates because they can’t find a way to pay them? Seems a little to easy…

InactiveSO WRONG! If it boils down to not being able to pay, what a crock! They don’t market to US, so I see no issues. Unless this all ties into them trying to get land based casinos, and having US online affs is a negative in those discussions.

InactiveTOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!
Downright unfair by anyones standards, except of course apparently Genting.
I too added them to my to my list of “Casinos Not Recommended For Any Games”.
If you’ve got a real list could you please PM me so I can add them to mine.Even if they do not currently have a payment mechanisnm for USA affiliates that is no excuse for taking players out of an affiliates account. Sure, if they are skittish about the US legal mess they can stop accepting bets from US residents and even stop signing up new US based affiliates. But to stop paying on work that has already been done is not legit.

MemberFrom what I hear this is coming from the Top Management in Asia. They are implementing a policy to no longer accept affiliates from any countries they have a land based presence, excluding UK. Something to do with them thinking online business actually hurts their land based efforts. Unfortunate for sure.

If so, that is an ignorant attitude.
Have they learned nothing from those fools in Vegas that helped mess up the USA online market and now are trying to get it back.
Do they ‘mess with’ the players that come into the casino too?

MemberHi All,
I just wanted to clarify the situation with regards to Genting working with US affiliates. I have been asked by Genting management to request that all US-based affiliates remove the Genting brands (Genting Casino, Genting Poker, Circus Casino and Circus Poker) from their websites. We will be leaving all US affiliate accounts open and payments on players sent already will continue as long as those players continue to play in our casinos. Be assured that all commissions will continue on your existing player base, lifetime rev share still means lifetime rev share.
If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me.

MemberAny additional updates regarding Genting?
Here’s what our team has been able to gather so far: Genting Drops US Affiliates
What are your thoughts on how Genting dealt with the closure to US Affiliates? Should they be commended? Or do you feel like more notice and support was necessary?

InactiveAs a non-affiliate I can only comment on how I would have liked to have been treated if I had been doing business with them.
As soon as they reached a decision I would have liked a notification and clarification of exactly how they meant to deal with past signups. As much advance notice as posible would be expected. At least a month or two would be nice. But I understand that situations do come up at the last minute, especially as regards the US market.
Maybe they want to be forthcoming with everything but cannot.
In the end, they intend to treat their affiliates properly regarding payment for past performance and adherence to the original agreement, understanding and intent of ‘life time revenue share’. Other casino operations can learn from this.
Don’t ‘burn your bridges with anyone’. You may need to go down the same road again.
