March 13, 2009 (InfoPowa News) — The first World Poker Tour tournament to be held in Africa will be a five star poker happening in October 2009 at the Casino De Marrakech in Morocco with a reasonable buy-in of €4,500, and an up-and-coming online poker website has partnered with WPT in promoting the event.

The iPoker network online poker site will run special satellite tournaments from April 9th, offering its players the chance to win a prize package that includes flights, accomodation and buy-in for the inaugural North African event.
In addition to the main event, WPT Africa will include side events such as a high-rollers tournament and a celebrity invitational or ladies competition.
