October 27, 2008 (InfoPowa News) — The advertising agency that created the now well known 888ladies.com television ad featuring comedian Vic Reeves, CHI and Partners, has indicated that it will not again bid for the £6 million account, opening the way for other U.K. agencies to go after the lucrative contract.
Brand Republic reports that 888 Holdings is currently looking for a new advertising agency, and quotes 888 marketing exec Matt Robinson as saying: "We are operating in one of the most vibrant and popular industries in the world. We are now entering the next phase of the development of 888.com and our agency needs have changed. We are therefore seeking a new agency partner who will be as excited by the opportunity and challenge as we are."
888 has shortlisted a number of network agencies to compete for the business in a pitch that is being handled by the AAR, which has asked agencies to submit global credentials with a view to finalizing the selection by the end of November.
CHI and Partners won the account in October 2007 after the deregulation of gambling advertising in the U.K.
