Malta's Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LGA) has advised the company now in charge of failed sportsbook PlayBanks.com to pay all players with a legitimate balance on their account.
The small sportsbook failed in late-2006 leaving numerous players unpaid and forcing the LGA to step in to safeguard player interests.
"The Lotteries and Gaming Authority has directed the Management of PB International Limited, operators of PlayBanks.com, to pay all players having a legitimate balance on their account," read a notice on LGA's website.
"The Authority contacted all players concerned in January of 2008, many players responded and have since been paid the full balance in their player account. However, a number of players have not yet responded to collect their funds.
"The Authority is advising those players who are still owed funds to contact us on [email protected]."
