Hi Everyone,
I am just starting into this Affiliate Program and was wondering if anyone would be willing to share some in sight on hoe to really get this going.
I will understand if anyone doesn’t but is doesn’t hurt to ask.
ThanksOctober 13, 2012 at 11:49 am #828820wbprofitsMemberbuild a website with fresh new original content . Using social sites to help bring traffic in .
October 13, 2012 at 12:48 pm #828821CasinoSasaMemberGo with a content management system (joomla, drupal, wordpress) as the content soon gets out of control, as i am now finding out. Also do your research on affiliate programs to promote as many are scoundrels. Check several affiliate forums for recomendations before you invest time, money and effort in building content for programs that wont pay you, or will cheat you out of what you are owed.

ThanksInteract with the community here, check out the sites in peoples footer to get an idea of what other affiliates are doing.
For programs, you really can’t go with with the programs on CAP. They don’t allow programs who are “rogue” and a very receptive to sort out problems for affiliates – good educators too for newbies.
To make things easier for you – I would suggest you start your journey by registering a domain. If you are passionate about sports, poker or casino.. register a domain to do with one of those.
Get hosting, (let me know if you need hosting.. I’ll offer you hosting for free)
Register a domain for $10.
Install WordPress (I can install it for you if you want).
And you’re on your way!

Some very sound advice!
When I started (back in 2000), it took me over 12 months before I made my first $1,000. I worked 7 days a week and put in around 14 hours a day. In the first 2 years I took a day off every month but I was hungry like a tiger for success.
The gaming industry is a tough road. However if you put in the hours and don’t expect to make money overnight, then your on the right road to carving out a great lifestyle and the freedom which comes with it too.
Out of 100 noobs who start in this game, by the end of 12 months only about 3 will stick it out. If your serious about establishing an online gaming portal, my best advice is, never, ever give up. Keep going until you make it!
I recommend the following action:
- Register a domain relevant to the gaming vertical your entering
- Try to avoid too many hypens in domain name & make it easy to remember
- Obtain hosting for your domain in the country you’ll be targeting traffic
- Use WordPress as your CMS (content management system) portal/web-site
- Tight on $’s use a free theme but don’t remove mandatory copyright link(s)
- Learn some basis HTML and also SEO skills
Apart from that make CAP your home away from home. It’s a great place to find resources, suggestions, help and most of all, a really great place to network with other affiliates and AM’s (affiliate managers).
Cheers
Dave
