That’s right… Zynga is in the process of fielding bids from online gaming developers for a potential partnership is the real-money online poker sector.

    Zynga Wants Real-Money Gaming Partner

With Zynga’s 35.2 Million Texas Hold ‘Em players… the online gambling world needs to prepare for Zynga’s real-money gaming direction to make a major impact.

What are your thoughts on what’s to come?

I think it can go either way.
    Total failure, or success.

It’ll have a way to feed players from a “I’m learning” to “I’m playing for real money”

I wonder if the sharks would come in and clean up :)

I’ve played some of the zynga free games on Myspace / Facebook in the past and have found the game errors to be more than plentiful and the support to be worse than horrible. Consequently I wouldnt trust them with one dime of any of my money.

I’d like to see if they do in app / premium billing as a form of processing, and if so how many carrier complaints come in.

I think that’s the big difference, we know what real gaming software is like and meant to be, and where our expectations should be at.

Zynga has a database of poker players who play for fun, which they can educate (the Zynga way) into being gamblers on their network.

I’m sure Zynga has already looked at the possibility of partnering up with someone out there – but than realised, hey we have the traffic, we just need the software. Why lease the software, when we can make our own.

Software could be a complete failure, unable to handle load, transactions, processing, fraud. Would love to be a fly on the wall as they discuss all this.
