June 18, 2012 at 12:23 pm #825515winner.comMemberHey, site looks good. I’m guessing your are focusing on Australia because I don’t think anyone else call slots pokies (but I could be wrong) and you are #1 on google for – Australian Pokies Online
the question is are you getting any hits? if no then you need to make changes – because you can do any better then on google then that.
BUt you are nowhere for the search Online Pokies or Pokies online – maybe carate a slightly different page with Online Pokies or Pokies online for your keyword phrase
June 18, 2012 at 10:27 pm #825532nav145MemberI’m with Pete on this one. Design and layout are good but I’d definitely try some of the points that Pete pointed out. Cheers.
June 20, 2012 at 7:56 am #825582dantMemberYour site looks ok apart from the footer!……the yellow spacers are not aligned with your links and it looks a bit tatty to me!…..apart from that it looks ok!
June 20, 2012 at 4:41 pm #825605bosshoggsMemberAt first glance, the site looks awesome. Thank you so much for sharing this with the community. Also, I love the page flap attractor at the top right… Great way to intrigue visitors to hit up a special promotion! Nice work!
Just a couple of recommendations:
1) Hello… Why don’t you have CAP listed as a Supporter? I see some of our competitors on there Would love to get you set-up with a CAP Badge. PM me if you’re interested
2) Social Media Section: At first I totall missed it. I would suggest using actual Facebook, Twitter & Google Plus icons to capture your visitors’ interest.
3) To boost up player retention, consider getting an email capture on the page.
4) Privacy Policy/ Terms: It’s a Must!
Overall, great looking site! I’m sure you will definitely kill it out there!!! Way to go!
June 20, 2012 at 5:24 pm #825614NonypepleMemberIs ok . You should add facebook and google plus icons to every page..
June 21, 2012 at 1:08 am #825624bullbarcomMemberMatt, great idea for a website – us Aussies are addicted to pokies, and probably most don’t know about online casinos either.
I’m from more of a sports betting background myself but love to have a slap on the pokies occasionally so can give you my honest feedback too. I think the pokie reviews section would be a promising area to develop, maybe even include it in the header links when you have a few reviews in there. Because I’m sure most Australian pokie players when they come across your site would be looking for Queen of the Nile or some other machines they’re used to playing in the pubs, clubs and casinos. So introducing them to some of the online games and the types of free game features that they have would be a good way to get people to try them out. If you can include screen grab images of what the games look like that would probably help too.
Also it may help to get your site listed in some forum directories to get more members signing up and get some more activity in there. It’s hard to get a forum to take off, but if you can get some good members in there that post regularly hopefully more will join up over time.
Overall I like the look of the site though, and agree with other posts that getting your site visible for some more relevant keywords will help a lot. Best of luck!

Agree, I do get hits for Australian Pokies Online but my main attraction at the moment bringing visitors is my “Where’s The Gold” keywords, this slot/pokie is very popular in aus it is just a shame that after that review Australians were blocked from playing it.

These are the actual icons on the home page? should they be bigger?

I will put some thought into this, everyone on the forums receives newsletters every now and then, I send 1 maybe every 2 months.
4) Privacy Policy/ Terms: It’s a Must!
Never really though about this and I will look into it.

As above, you are correct about Aussies, my biggest Keyword as above is “Wheres The Gold”. The problem is all these games were blocked to aussies, so I did not bother doing the other Aristocrat games available online like Queen Of The Nile, Red Baron, Lucky88 and 50Lions etc.
I ended up separating the Pokie reviews into the casino software sections (Net Entertainment Pokie Reviews , Microgaming Pokie Reviews etc) do you think these would be better listed just under Pokie Reviews?
Thanks everyone for your input I appreciate it greatly
Just one more quick question, I have the casino reviews etc as part of the forum posts/blog style, would these be better off being html web pages instead? serp wise etc?
Thanks Again
Matt

Oh ok, Where’s The Gold – I’ve played that game a lot. I always just call it the Dynamite game lol. That one is pretty fun! I always choose the dog when I get the spins
Yeah I think it might be a good idea to list them under Pokie Reviews too, under the link on the right side of your page.
June 21, 2012 at 3:59 pm #825642bosshoggsMemberHey Matt:
Just responded to your PM and sent you all the details for the CAP Seal.
As for the Social Media Icons: I would suggest using actual Facebook, Twitter & Google+ Images so all will stand-out/ catch the visitor’s eye.
As for email… definitely think about it. I would suggest updating your visitors at least on a monthly basis to alert them of special offerings and keep them in tune with your site.
Overall, great work!
