    Hey Affiliates,

My name is Zoltan and I want to become a successful affiliate.
I think that’s sums it up nicely :)

I have more than 5 years of experience as a project manager, building small and huge websites for clients of various agencies (not in online gambling) and have led the development of a fully independent poker room + community site, which started out quite well but was then closed down due to the investor’s impatience and the resulting series of bad decisions.
Nevertheless, I learned a lot during that time and viewing from the “other side” I came to the conclusion that the coolest part of the business is probably the affiliate’s. Well that’s what it seems at least and that’s what I would like to be. A gambling affiliate.

So I set out to build my own affiliate “empire”, bought domains, began developing my sites and right now I’m overloaded with information and came to a standstill.
    Where to really begin?

So I thought the best move would be to look for an assignment as an affiliate’s apprentice, so I can learn the business from A to Z.

I have knowledge about poker, some casino, and have some technical skills:

    • HTML/CSS – (I’m no sitebuilder, but I can get things to work the way they should)
    • WordPress – I love wordpress, because I can do almost anything with the right set of plugins and themes. No PHP or Javascript, though.
    • SEO – I know the drill, on-site and off-site
    • Internet Marketing – I’m overloaded with theory, but in bad need of some good practice
    • Writing – Though I’m not a native English speaker, I get by..
    • Communication – finding the right people for the job, maintaining relationships, making deals, whatever is needed
    • Testing – whether it’s software or a website, or anything with a UI, I’m a ruthless tester
    • Leading a team – well, that’s what I’d been doing half the time
    • Ideas, creativity and hard work – no need to comment on that, I think

So, if anyone of you is interested in taking on a motivated freelancer with the above listed skill set, please let me know. Also, ask me anything, test me at will :)

Thanks for reading this and have a nice day Everyone!

    Hi Zoltan,

My idea was pretty much an idea more then an offer. But I would be glad to help where ever I can. You can check out my site Affiliates | Gambling Jobs (my site, that I made mainly for my friends who are intrested in this). To start, I have a network of about 20 sites, 6 larger sites with the rest smaller. Mainly the large amount of sites have to do with just targeting keywords, such as online18casino.com – online 18+ casinos or onlinecasinos-usa.com – Online Casinos USA and such. I would start with one large site… maybe only one large site :) I just really like to build lol.

Online Poker affiliates earn a LOT less the online casino affiliates, that is what I have found. When I was making 13k a month, only 1k was from poker and I have had a lot of players.

What countries do you plan on targeting? I find it best to pick and target one country to start. The UK, Australia, USA, Germany and the Scandinavian countries are all good.

While I do market on facebook http://facebook.com/playwinbet I find the best way is to rank well in the search engines. And if you can’t rank well, write so much unique content that google cant ignore you and it just becomes a game of chance. Right now I have so many sites and pages in google, im bound to come up sometimes for a lot of people.

affiliateguarddog.com is another great website, kinda like CAP but much different type of people and posts.

If you target the US, the sites I have listed on Affiliates | Gambling Jobs do convert pretty well, with affiliateedge.com being the #1 program.

Let me know if you have any questions, what site do you have? Where are you located? I promote mostly to the US because thats where im from, I think that helps a bit. I also have onlineukcasinos.co.uk, its hosted on a server in the UK as well.. promoting outside of your country makes things just a little harder, but not impossible at all.
