A recent story just came out sharing that a German Poker Player Cheated for a stake of $390,000 in winnings. That’s huge! How it went down, the player actually created a virus to out-duel players (including Patrik Antonius and even Ilari Sahanies.) The winner (who is still remaining nameless) took $40,000 from an Austrian Player and $350,000 from a Swiss Players, sweeping in a whopping $390,000. This is way too far… Not a fan of cheaters. And it’s scams like this that have such a HUGE negative impact on online gambling, especially poker. All is still under police investigation… but just curious what the community’s thoughts are….
I think there was a bigger cheat a few years back on Absolute? that was massive… and very systematic.
I think this is just a glimpse of whats really going on under the surface. Cheating players and operators is imo the biggest threat to online poker.

Couldn’t agree more… IMO, it’s important to out these folks. This way they can’t hide under the radar and hopefully this kind of nonsense can eventually stop. This is the kind of BS that creates a wall in regulation.
My son never plays poker online. He always goes to the casino to play cash games. I always thought he was a bit paranoid, but after reading this story I can see why he doesn’t play online. Its very hard to trust the results of a computer, especially with the amount of hackers and scammers there are online.
