There’s any want that think that this will be a factor in SERP?
July 8, 2011 at 6:17 pm #817300AnonymousInactiveI can guarantee you it will be a factor in Google’s SERPs. There really is no question about it.
July 8, 2011 at 9:09 pm #817301daniel asanteMemberThe thing is that it can be abuse it. I saw people in forum selling +1 in bunch already.
July 8, 2011 at 9:53 pm #817302AnonymousInactiveAny SEO indicator they launch will be abused. Look at what happened with link farms, keyword stuffing, etc.
July 8, 2011 at 10:06 pm #817303daniel asanteMemberIn that point you’re right. I will like to know if anybody have seen any change in their Serp because of this.
July 8, 2011 at 11:43 pm #817304cashforaccountMemberI agree with felku that this can get abused. I can imagine that it will soon die out I reckon in the future.
July 9, 2011 at 1:15 am #817309daniel asanteMemberI know from people that already have more than 1k in +1. I have near 150 but until now no changes in any of my keywords.
July 9, 2011 at 3:09 am #817310abbykungMemberI think it will be a strong ranking factor until it gets abused too much. As soon as that happens, Google will reduce its importance as a ranking factor.
January 16, 2012 at 11:20 am #820629Jean-frMemberI’ve just added this functionality to all of my pages yesterday. Should I be concerned that I’ve got next to zero +1s?
January 16, 2012 at 6:52 pm #820635bosshoggsMemberWhere did you add it? Is it visible?
January 16, 2012 at 7:36 pm #820636Jean-frMemberHi JillO
It’s a floating toolbar with Twitter, Facebook, Digg, and StumbleUpon buttons, to the left of the content on all of the pages. The toolbar plugin isn’t working 100% properly on the homepage – you have to scroll down a bit to see it. Think it’s conflicting with some jquery stuff and I’m trying to get it resolved but to no avail as of yet.
However you should be able to see the toolbar pretty much everywhere else. In blog posts, they’re hard-coded before the content.
January 26, 2012 at 6:05 pm #820816AnonymousInactiveUnder webmaster tools you can track the “impact” of your plus one rankings in the serps.. It worth examining all items in webmaster tools to understand how google looks at your site.
January 27, 2012 at 8:31 am #820828agatto2MemberGoogle +1 gives more value by personalizing results for the user that gave +1 and not by increasing SERP position for your website.

Google Plus as a Social Signal has direct influence on SERPs including organic non-personalized rankings. Do not ignore this. Verified Name Account have direct influence on Organic Rankings … this is another move towards National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace ( In Google We Trust (Your Identity) – Search Engine Watch (#SEW) ) – this will have impact on SEO/Social Signals and it is a game changer
