Earlier this month I was taken by surprise when I tried logging into the affiliate website for 1 Live Casino, only to find a redirect page that simply stated:
The affiliate program is currently closedPlease contact [email protected]
Next I checked my email to see if there was any information regarding this closure and found nothing at all from 1 Live Casino. After that, I went to the 1 Live Casino website to check out the Affiliate link, only to find that this link has been deactivated. I did send an email to the above address, and the response that I received was as follows:
“Thanks for your email. The affiliate programme is closed until further notice. We will make sure to contact you when this situation changes.
Your account is negative with -95 so we will simply close the account.
Cordiali Saluti,
Beatrice Ventura
1LiveCasino.com – Supporto”My response was simply, “Although my account was in the negative, in the past year I did send depositing players to your casino. Because of your affiliate program closure, these players are no longer affiliated with me, even though I was the one who sent them to you. I am of the opinion that you are reaping all of the benefits of my hard work over the last year.
Additionally, it was also very unprofessional to simply close the affiliate program without any prior notice to your affiliates. This is a shabby way to treat the people who have been advertising for you. I have made sure that 1-Live Casino is no longer advertised on my website and I have notified GPWA of the unprofessional manner in which you shut down your affiliate program.
In the future, do not bother to contact me, since I will not work with any company that has such little regard for their affiliates.”
If anyone is currently an affiliate for 1 Live Casino, know that your links are no longer generating any revenue for you, that you are simply giving 1 Live Casino free advertising!

We’ll be sure to let any affiliates know that are presently promoting 1 Live Casino.

Thanks for making the affiliates aware of this. I check my stats every day, so I discovered this closure pretty quickly. I imagine that there are a lot of affiliates who are completely unaware of this and still promoting them.
On the brighter side, when things like this happen, the really solid casinos really stand out in the crowd.

I totally agree with JaqiC, it does make the good affiliate programs stand out when this happens, especially good old trustworthy casino coins and main street affiliates

hope you didn’t have too big an exposure to them.
April 30, 2011 at 3:07 pm #815935mattheratMemberHello JaqiC
Thank you for bringing this to the communities attention. It pains me to see programs shut doen like that without notice to the affiliates (even with notice!).It’s not right. I hope that the community remembers these situations if this brand (1livecasino) brand tried to emerge with another program. After all they are keeping ALL of your players action you have accumulated over the years.
Regards, Adrian
