Here’s my feeling on the matter – Poker Bots are only as good as those who program them, and they are absolutely no different than algorithmic computer programs that trade the stock market. Did you all know that over 70 % of daily U.S. stock exchange trading traffic is from HFT’s (High Frequency Traders), which are sophisticated and exceptionally powerful supercomputers that are co-located near the stock exchange, and of course, programmed by humans ? I see absolutely no difference between poker bots and HFT’s. If Poker Rooms provide an API to allowing for bots, then so be it. They are only as good as their programmers.
