Internet gamblers and affiliates, are you ready for taxes?
That was a big focus of the justification given by the House Financial Services Committee yesterday when it voted 41 to 22 to approve Barney Frank’s online gambling bill. Read about it here.For me, the ideal situation would be to reverse the UIGEA, and not to tax. Unfortunately, if the former happens, the latter will inevitably happen, and I think this will be bad for affiliates. Anyway, Barney has screwed up enough over the last couple of years – glad to see that he recognizes the UIGEA for what it is though.
