I thought this bill was being shelved til next year ? When did it get resurrected ?
I don’t recall any news on it being shelved — just postponed “indefinitely”, which could mean now, later, or never. Apparently in this case it just meant “later”. (I think the California online poker bill has been called “shelved”, but that’s not really true, either, it’s just being reworked, according to the senator who’s pushing it.)
By the way, this hearing was pushed back an hour, and it looks like Annie Duke will be one of the witnesses:
