Duh ! Two things are obvious: (1) Nothing regarding legalization will happen until after the mid-term elections, since online gambling is a “political” and “morale” hot potato; (2) The Land Casino lobbyists want to make sure that their boys are taken care of when online gambling is regulated, and surely the intent is to eliminate (or at least make it very difficult) for overseas gaming institutions to succeed in that environment. The US will want any sort of new law to benefit U.S. companies only, and in that sense, the legislation will wind up be exclusionary. It has nothing to due with morality (as Sen. Kyle alludes to), and everything to do with money (and who makes it).
