August 7, 2009 at 11:08 pm #802928arturs.vitolsMemberUnfortunately, google’s front page doesn’t have any links on it. SERPS do, but the only ones you could get on the front page of in an hour are not worth much. Maybe if you refister a 5 keyword domain and you could rank for those keywords typed in order, but is that really going to help?

I know i am very drunk, but does this post make any sense?
fwiw i [or any clued up seoer with some authority domains in their pocket] can get on homepage of G for pretty much any med-long tail kw in <10 mins. making it stick is the problem:DAugust 10, 2009 at 4:16 pm #802976arturs.vitolsMemberMaybe it didn’t make sense. Maybe you were drunk. Nonetheless, I was just saying that there are a lot of people that promise “front page of google” but really the front page of google has nothing but a search box. There are however SERPS. These are location specific and many users sign into google which completely changes the way sites rank. While it is somewhat easy to rank for a long tail keyword that doesn’t get much traffic, it is much harder to have high placement across the board, regardless or where the search is being made or who the searcher is.
August 10, 2009 at 4:51 pm #802977neophyteMemberi hear u (man i was so drunk I didn’t even remember posting that last msg!)
glad i didn’t waste 5seconds of my life downloading the 50megs video in the OP, only to see the google homepage with a random website name typed in

August 20, 2009 at 9:12 pm #803325Vpoker_BrazilMemberAfter reading this thread, i ave to ask. do you think the user meant on googles home page, or page on of a result?
Seems the user was trying to help was all, I will download it and see if I have seen it before. Ill leave a review shortly
PS, maybe I will watch it drunk??
PPS, disagree, that results in less then an a hour are worthless. Do this 8 times a day, and in on month that how much total traffic ?
EDIT: Is a word, is blogger combined with RSS techniques. Is a tad dated but some nice info if you just getting started.
August 20, 2009 at 10:48 pm #803328arturs.vitolsMemberI’d be interested to see what it says. I might suggest running it through a virus checker first though. I’m always cautious about forum links that start up big downloads.
If you could pop to the top of serps in an hour and did it a few times a day, I’m sure it would help, but I wonder what kind of search volumes those keywords get. Long tail is great for PPC, I have just tended to see organic traffic come 80-90% from the obvioius keywords, which are not usually obtainable in an hour.
May I institute a challenge? Name your keyword (one you don’t rank for) within an hour post a screen capture of your site in the top 10. 1,000 points to whoever can do it for the keyword with the most monthly search volume according to google keyword tool.
August 20, 2009 at 11:07 pm #803329Vpoker_BrazilMemberOk, choosing a 3 word phrase no one ranks for now for fun, back in one hour….
August 20, 2009 at 11:46 pm #803331Vpoker_BrazilMemberOk, my key term, the video is now at number three on the term, my blog has not yet been indexed by Google.
I have created a blogspot, wetpaint, hubpages, added stumpleupon, flikr, done. The used pingler on all sites. So far, only Youtube showing up.
Back in 20 minutes….
EDIT: Also submitted Rss feeds. Also, I now see My hubpage on number 4 now
August 20, 2009 at 11:56 pm #803332Vpoker_BrazilMemberOk done

August 21, 2009 at 3:31 pm #803349arturs.vitolsMemberWow, my day is now much more awesome. Thanks casinojack. So you are now in the lead for having done it. As per the rules, anyone that can do it in an hour for a keyword set with more monthly searches will take over the lead for the 1,000 points. I award casinojack with 100 points anyway for completing the task first and for comparing me to Thor.
I think we showed though that even for an obscure term, it took nearly an hour to get ranking #1 and that was with hubpages and a youtube video, not an affiliate portal. So it can be done, but can it be done with a term that gets searched and in a way that generates revenue?
August 21, 2009 at 4:00 pm #803351Vpoker_BrazilMemberSure, but not in an hour.
I choose terms with under 50,000 results , maybe 2 hours.
once you hit 500,000 or more takes a day to 3 to show up on SERP 1. Over 500,000, we know gets much much trickier.
I was just having fun, and showing a for example… Glad you enjoyed it
:hattip:
August 21, 2009 at 11:08 pm #803355arturs.vitolsMemberI am totally impressed with your dedication. Do you compare search volume to search results and then make a hit list of casino related terms? I would guess that every once in a while a term would pop up with a really low results/searches ratio in which case you would want to rank quickly before it leveled out.
