Bwin subsidiary to use the new P5 software engine
October 20, 2008 (InfoPowa News) — Bwin Interactive subsidiary Ongame Network Limited has joined the increasingly competitive Italian online poker market by launching an Italian-facing network driven by its new P5 software engine.
“The Italian network is powered by the new P5 technology, which offers unrivaled performance, reliability and speed — coupled with great graphics and usability. The P5 poker engine represents a shift in mentality as much as it represents a shift in technology: it is completely modular and provides scalability without risking stability,” says Kevin O’Neal, Press Officer at Bwin.
Ongame’s Italian network is monitored by the Italian authorities and is in full compliance with the new regulations pertaining in the country.
It will be backed by one of Italy’s top online gaming destinations, Bwin.it, and negotiations are already underway with operators with the potential to best make use of the new Italian online poker network.
The announcement follows statements from Playtech in recent weeks announcing four member websites for its new AAMS-approved Italian online poker network.
Ongame’s main network consists of 25 operators, and more than 35,000 players can be found playing concurrently at peak times during the day.
