Consolidating – 5 domains and one site

In answer to some queries about Awesome Jackpots (which I have responded to personally but thought some more FAQ-type answers would be useful):

Unique views per month: 500 (presently estimated) – at its peak would’ve been 4-5x that. Site has basically been untouched for 3-4 years except for a few modifications made by the person I asked to run it a couple of years ago. No marketing of any sort has been done over the past 3 years except for my signature link.

Database contains 187 members – again without any promotion.

The site originally carried just over 70 jackpots, though we had to turn a couple off when the feed went funny (Playtech and Boss). This has been restored now though not yet recording histories – and in total it’s now set up to handle 171 jackpots, for which you would need to add descriptions and graphics for the newer ones. The total number of jackpots is probably double what any other existing site has – so that is an instant advantage waiting for the new owner.

As you may or may not know, I was the creator of the jackpot ticker/pulldown concept which is used by all the programs now – and the first non-manufacturer site to start featuring ticker values (Got2Bet) – on which JackpotMadness, the first official manufacturer site, was based (and launched about 6 months later). Awesome Jackpots was spun off from Got2Bet in 2003, and at at that time the only other progressives-only site was Slotcharts.

So AJ has both history and age behind it – and while neglected, it has a potential far beyond any other progressives site because of the number of jackpots it records/can record, plus a long history for search engines to recognize.

I haven’t put a fixed figure on the site – as you know even a few accounts (especially from progressives slots players) can generate quite a significant revenue especially if you know how to make your newsletters and alerts work – I would say at that time traffic was significantly larger than it is now. As such I will take offers but will not answer queries asking me how much I want for the site – once an offer is made which I feel is reasonable, the site will be sold.

I do not have player acquisition data – most of the links on the site still point to my original affiliate accounts which were sold along with Got2Bet in 2005. This is why the affiliate accounts don’t go along with the site.
