$4 million in cash prizes disbursed by U.S.-legal poker site
September 9, 2008 (InfoPowa News) — The U.S.-facing and based PurePlay online poker company, which claims to be legal in the United States, reports that it has expanded its player ranks to more than 1.5 million competitors and has disbursed more than $4 million in cash prizes since Novermber 2005.
“We are committed to staying at the forefront of legal online poker, and that means pulling out the stops in giving our members the excitement of competitive play and generous cash prizes without exposing them to the risk of losing their own money,” said PurePlay CEO Jason Kellerman. “No other poker site has implemented this approach as successfully as we have in attracting players at all levels and delivering an online gaming experience that keeps them coming back.”
San Francisco-based PurePlay, which hosts online poker rooms and tournaments, offers cash prizes to both play-for-free members and subscribers who pay a low monthly fee. Subscribers receive key benefits including access to cash tournaments with over $150,000 in monthly prizes, individual performance ratings that enable them to play with others at the same skill level, live chat customer support, and no ads during game play.
An important reason for PurePlay’s unmatched player base is its range of tournament offerings. PurePlay’s World Series of Poker tournaments award free seats to the WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas. This year, no other U.S.-based poker site sent more contenders to the Main Event than PurePlay, the company claims, saying that it aims to repeat this achievement for the 2009 WSOP.
PurePlay is also attracting players with its $10,000 Classic Tournaments and continuous opportunities to win cash with no risk, no buy-ins, and no deposits.
