MELBOURNE, Aug. 26
Australia’s horse racing carnivals are renowned for three things: superstar gallopers, unparalleled fashion and the richest races on the calendar. Entering into its third edition, IASbet’s Big Bet Blast promotion joins the list as a feature attraction with $100,000 in Melbourne Cup Day betting bank prizes and five chances to win.
Running until 26 October 2008, Big Bet Blast 3 is one of the country’s most lucrative racing promotions. Five massive betting banks to bet with on Melbourne Cup Day are up for grabs, including a $60,000 Grand Prize and four $10,000 runner-up prizes. Winners get to keep the profit of the day.
“Regardless of whether you’re a serious or recreational punter, the appeal of winning a massive betting bank to bet with on one of the best days on the racing calendar is enormous. Who doesn’t want to become one of Australia’s largest punters for a day?” said Mark Read, IASbet Managing Director.
To date, fifteen lucky punters have cashed in on the Big Bet Blast promotion. The most notable is Vincent K who, after winning the International Grand Prize in autumn this year, pocketed $90,000 in profit from eight strategic and life changing bets on Grand National Day at Aintree Racecourse in the United Kingdom.
“I am amazed by IAS’s [International All Sports] generosity. This is my biggest win on the horses and it came as a nice surprise, as I know nothing about UK racing and picked the Grand National winner Comply Or Die because I liked the name. I can now treat my family to a holiday,” said Vincent after his Big Bet Blast experience.
Driven by Australian bookmaking legend Mark Read’s 35-years of industry experience, IASbet is the country’s biggest bookmaker and the world-leader in Thoroughbred Wagering. The organisation is unrivalled in Spring Carnival coverage, price and professionalism, with future markets already available on the Melbourne Cup, Caulfield Cup and Cox Plate.
For Spring’s signature event, the Melbourne Cup, IASbet is quoting last year’s champion Efficient as favourite at $12, followed by English stayer Septimus at $15 and Victoria Derby victor Kibbutz at $19.
Autumn sensation Weekend Hussler is priced at $21 in the Melbourne Cup, and despite opening his Spring campaign with a second to Light Fantastic in the J.J Liston Stakes, the Horse of the Year elect remains the Cox Plate and Caulfield Cup favourite, priced at $4 and $4.40 respectively.
