July 13, 2008 at 3:11 pm #772697AnonymousInactiveThanks for your message and pm. As I wrote, I’ve asked Shelley at [email protected] to follow-up and she’ll contact you directly.
Thanks,

Just so everybody knows apparently there is a form field somewhere where you 2nd tier referral needs to fill in who referred them which I still find pretty puzzling. I would’ve thought that the script would be able to track all of that automatically.

that is puzzling.
Are you saying that when a potential sub-affiliate clicks on the join brightshare banner/link they still need to enter the site they found the banner/link on?
Also why is there a tab called referral fees?
July 15, 2008 at 7:34 am #772780AnonymousInactiveI’d like to clear up something here.
You can refer new affiliates in one of two ways:
1. If they click on a link or banner of yours, your banner tag is carried with them right through to BrightShare, through the sign-up and will appear automatically in our backend.
2. OR…..if they have not clicked on a link of yours, but have just typed in brightshare.com, they may indicate to us in the Questions section of the sign-up form, that you referred them and from this info, we will ALSO credit you with bringing in this sub-affiliate.
So….”no” – your sub-affiliate does NOT have to indicate this in the Questions. This is necessary only if he/she has NOT clicked on a banner/link of yours.
Hope this is clearer now,

Sorry – I missed answering your question about the “Referral Fees” tab in our reports.
This tab shows affiliates for whom you are receiving your 2% referral fee, indicating the Referral Tag, Name and Referral Earnings for any sub-affiliates you’ve brought in.
Thanks,
