I’ve just started to lightly promote BrightShare (I always go to abbreviate that to BS but somehow it doesn’t sound nice :) ) and I’m a bit confused with some of the stats.

I see that I have already generated a depositing player to All Slots. At least, I *think* I have because I see 1 ‘New Player’ who is also a ‘2nd Purchasing Player’. I assume this means he’s deposited more than once?

What’s confusing me is that my stats show zero ‘Active Players’ and zero ‘Total Purchases’

Interesting.. maybe it is not final yet .. Marcia always is fast at responding.

Players keep coming back so this is a 5 star program.

    Hi all (Fict),

    you’re confusing me a bit.

“is that my stats show zero…” … then where are you coming up with the idea its showing a new player and 2nd purchase?

I’m assuming that your comparing an overall stats with a casino specific stats?

if it weren’t for your just starting out I’d suggest it may be that a player from another property played at allslots as their logins all work for allslots.

Not the case however and even though I’ve worked with Brightshare (I can’t bring myself to call them by initials either when there are SOOOOOOO many more DESERVING programs of that particular abbrev.

luck with the stats. Marcia please let us know here so the rest won’t have to bother you about this curiousity.

I can tell you Fict that I don’t recall ever having them tell me I didn’t have a player when it showed somewhere in my stats that I did: and top of that a second purchase. Well done!

my stats are ok as far as I can judge.

I have some winners too who made a 2nd purchase.

Checking my stats now to see if they’ve updated to make any more sense.

    Right. My ‘Earnings Report’ shows:

    Clicks: 45
    Downloads: 4
    New Reg: 2
    New Players: 1
    Active Players: 1
    Purchasing Players: 0

However, my ‘Banner and Link Stats’ report shows for All Slots:

    Clicks: 14
    Downloads: 1
    New Guest: 0
    New Registered: 1
    New Players: 1
    2nd Purchasing Players: 1
    Active Players: 0
    Total Purchases: 0
    Net Revenues: 0

So we’re left with the question of how I’ve got a player who has purchased at least twice but apparently is not active in my second report but is in the first.

Something just dont seem right with mine as well. Was doing pretty good in the following months, and so far this month 0. Maybe to early to call but Im not understanding my stats, as I am seeing,
Under Fraud 1 (not sure what that means)
Then under Net Revenues -25 ?
    Revshare -6
    and my total earnins 0

If someone can help me try to understand this, I would appreciate it.

    Hey Guys!!!

Sorry for the non-response from my side, but we just came back today from a 4-day holiday weekend. :clapper:

So, now let’s get down to business…..

FictionNet – the difference between the Earnings Report and Banner and Link Stats report is most likely this:

B+L report only gives stats for banners and links where you used our served code (ie. http://www.brightshare.com/……). Any stats for a code you made up (ie. http://www.allslots.com?bTag=asaff9999) will not show up in this report.

Earnings Report – shows stats for ALL your tagged players irregardless of whether they used a served or non-served code.

Therefore…. in this case, a player who purchased twice, apparently came into the casino with a tag as a result of clicking on a non-served code.

There would be a serious problem if the stats were reversed – if your B+L report showed more activity than your Earnings report. If this ever happens, “run – don’t walk” to let us know.

stemat – a “fraud” player is one where the processor has closed the player account for some questionable activity – very often a chargeback, but can be a variety of reasons.

Net Revenues -25 – this most likely represents a bonus the player was granted. Could also be a winnings from a free slots tournament. The -6 is your revshare 25% of that. Total Earnings = 0 because we don’t carry over a minus (unless it’s the result of a chargeback) – so that the -6 in fact becomes 0 because we don’t take that 6 back from you.

casinotime and bb1webs – thanks for the support guys! And the help in explaining our reports in my absence.

Inspiration – way to go with your 2nd purchasing player.

Everyone – if you feel more comfortable with it, try NO BS – this is how we prefer to refer to ourselves!!!

    Later – Marcia

Thanks for the info, Marcia. I’m left with the question of why I show zero revenue tho?

For the record, I’m still seeing that ‘2nd depositing’ player at All Slots but zero revenue. Nothing in the positive or negative – just a fat zero.

click on the player revenue tab to see whats going on, if its negative the total will show 0

I see a ‘Players’ tab, if that’s what you mean – but it shows ‘Total Purchases’ of 0 – despite the other report showing a 2nd depositor. I’m still no closer to understanding what on earth is going on with my stats.

It would seem you’ve found a bug in the reporting, and we’ve requested that this be fixed asap.

We’ve seen this in the last two days in several affiliate’s reports – the Banner + Link report shows purchases and the Earnings report does not.

In two cases – yours one of them – I’ve checked the player, and can guarantee, according to the Microgaming stats, that the player did NOT make a purchase. He was registered and had never played. Casino management targeted him with a 10 credit bonus and he then played the bonus.

This makes him a “real player” but not a purchaser. In short, the Earnings report is correct, the B+L report will be fixed very shortly.

Thanks for brining this to our attention.
    We welcome affiliate questions/comments.

    Thanks – Marcia

    FIXED!

Web had inadvertently put “Active Players” in the “2nd Purchases” column as well.

    Please check again…..

And please, please, please never hesitate to point out anything that seems even slightly quirky to you in our program.

    Thanks for your patience,
    Marcia

I’m still getting weird stats. My ‘Banner and Link Stats’ report shows a new wagering player but zero ‘real players’. Is that possible?

    Hi FictionNet,

Could be that your New Wagering Player, registered last month but never played, and therefore does not appear as a New Real this month.

But I’m checking into all these definitions and we’ll publish it there in the BrightShare reports.

    Thanks,
    Marcia
