May 22, 2008 at 4:01 pm #768310VdpcevnjMemberHi Tom
You’ve raised a very good point and something that a lot of affiliates who don’t know Paddy Power might be confused by.
When we offer a money back special be it a €1.5 million refund like last night or smaller cheeky ones like http://www.paddypower.com/bet?action=showpage&page=specials_header%2Ehtml
They have absolutely NO NEGATIVE IMPACT on an affiliates earnings.
It also creates massive goodwill with our customers which means our customer retention is fantastic. This as Im sure you will agree is a good thing as it means they will be making money for a lot longer with us.
So just to calrify we don’t deduct any of these refunds from an affiliate.
Thanks for raising the point and asking for clarificiation.
Cheers
Fintan

Well I’m gobsmacked at that news Fintan !!
I’d assumed that it was also applied to affiliate accounts – and even then I was still in favour of it – because I absolutely agree it gives a very specific point of difference for the PaddyPower brand.
So hat’s off to Paddy Power for doing this and wearing the total cost themselves.

Hey Fintan – question: does the affiliat eprogram support deep links? IE: can i link to that BB page with my aff id, or do i have to send them to the homepage and let them navigate through themselves?
Cheers

Deeplinking works fine, I gave a quick example on our post about the WSOP of betting being open CLICKETY CLICK (last post on the thread)
If you want to set up a test link and do a test registration let me know and I will check it tracked through on the back-end for you.
cheers
Fintan
