MEGA MOOLAH HIT FOR US$ 5.5 MILLION
Somewhere, someone on the Internet is celebrating….Microgaming’s giant Mega Moolah progressive slot jackpot, which had reached a massive US$ 5 556 736, was hit by an as yet unknown online gambler this week at the Casino Rewards group operation Blackjack Ballroom.com.
The win caps an impressive list of big wins at the group in recent weeks.
Although this latest jackpot does not eclipse the Internet record jackpot of US$ 5.9 million held by Cryptologic’s Millionaire’s Club progressive after a hit at Intercasino last year, it remains a very significant and certainly life-changing online windfall.
The first-ever Mega Moolah jackpot was achieved in mid-November last year, and paid out South African Rands 4.3 million – equal to about GBP 313 000 at the time (see previous InfoPowa report).
A six figure win was also paid out this week by Bodog.com’s Jackpot Pinatas progressive, and at VIP Casino the trusty Rags to Riches progressive rewarded player Jemo with a US$ 131 250 jackpot for a $100 stake.
