April 16, 2008 at 4:33 am #765809AnonymousInactiveCheck out this forum on CAP: http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/bb/content-thieves-scrapers-black-hatters-and-spammers.0146.html?
Pokieslots stole from me, too. Here’s the thread about that: http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/bb/pokieslots-com-thief.26009.html?
April 16, 2008 at 9:36 am #765825bsmartMemberThis person ‘borrowed’ a lot of content from a hard copy book I wrote on Australian Slot Machines (pokies).
I know this because there was one piece of information that was pure fiction – never been peddled anywhere else, which I used in the book to see who was regurgitating my content…..
Whaddya know!
There are a number of URLs owned by the same person, with the same wordpress theme, just different names.
If you find out who it was, please PM me, I’ve got all the names and addresses of every single person who bought the book from me (if they bought it new, no dice if they bought it 2nd hand), and would be glad to help out
April 27, 2008 at 12:19 am #766661kmslogicMemberI am the owner of http://www.pokieslots.com and have purchased this site and content, and one thread out of the over 40 showed similarities to your site and I have modified accordingly.
If there are any entries that show similarities please let me know and I will be more than happy to edit accordingly.
Thank-You

Not very nice… He has responded and has apologised in a number of threads, offered an explanation and promised to remedy the situation. Give credit where it is due….
April 29, 2008 at 1:58 am #766815AnonymousGuestHi all,
ya but you gotta admit it looks pretty strange. Not only the fact that more than one have come forward to claim content theft but also in the way it is addressed.

? what is a thread?
is that a measuring term for those sites that check to see if your content is stolen?
If you wrote your own stuff the odds of it being close enough to someone else’s content as to show up as duplicate are probably lottery-sized odds
If you …. at best regurgitated content in attempt to not show up as duplicate then it makes perfect sense you’d be checking your content for passing the duplicate rules.
