just watching my sites grow ever so slowly and just picked up my first money player.. but I’m wondering how many unique visitors / day before you started making solid regular money?

I know there will be different factors affecting this but I would still be interested in your experiences.

    Thanks in advance

    Hey,

It really depends where the traffic is coming from, we have traffic sources that with 200 unique per day make 150 RMP / month and also sources that with 10 times more traffic make half the profit.

On top of that there are many factors that are relevent in the way, for example you need to measure how many visitors that visit your site actually click on some text link or banner. Define goals for your site, a casino / poker room review page could be a goal, any “visit” or “download link” could be a goal.

So you need to work on few aspects of site optimization:
    1) Getting traffic for “long tail” keywords, general example would be to get traffic for a phrase like “download real money poker” as apposed to getting traffic for “poker”.
    2) Optimize site usage, make sure your room links are easy to find properly marked.
    3) High quality content! Users trust sites that give them real content.

    Hope this helps

The question is too vague to be useful.

Taking it back to a real world example it’s like asking how many people do you need to come into your shop to make regular money.

When you do that then you immediately know that it depends on :
    – what you’re selling and how you’re selling
    – what your fixed costs are
    – what advertising you’ve done to attract spending visitors
    – how well you’ve dressed your shop/website to sell

Demographic numbers vary wildly between sites – and sites with “sticky content” like active forums and daily content will get lots more visitors … but those visitors are very unlikely to buy each and every time so the ratio drops hugely.

We get 4000 – 5000 visitors per day (double on weekends) but I would say that new RMP each month are probably only 2x those supplied by Weblight above.

However, the content enables us to generate repeat purchases from exisiting player – meaning that we have an active player base of 10x-20x maybe even 30x the monthly total.

(eg one of my sportsbooks that gives detailed figures recorded 47 new depositors AND 1541 total deposits from our players last month)

So with just two responses you’ve already got :
    – Weblight with 6000 visitors get 150 RMP (1 in 12)
    – Gooner with 200,000 visitors getting 300 RMP (1 in 666)

That probably shows the extent of the range (most sites will be somewhere in between) and it will depend on your markets, your stickiness, the amount of short term content, and the quality of your traffic sources.

for casino related traffic from SEs – min 1$ per visit, so 100 visits per day = $3000 per month or more. if you can’t make this minimum – work with your site.

    Targetted Traffic > Honest & Reliable Sponsor = $$$$$$
    Targetted Traffic > Dishonest & Unreliable Sponsor = $
    Untargetted Traffic > Honest & Reliable Sponsor = 0
    Untargetted Traffic > Dishonest & Unreliable Sponsor = 0

It additionally makes a huge difference what you are advertising – casino, poker, bingo, skills, sports – each of these attracts a completely different type of person with different objectives, playing behaviors and spending habits.

Within these groups you have further splits – a blackjack player has different spending behaviors than a slot player etc.

And additionally within each of these groups, the type of promotions you use will influence the type of players who visit your site. For freebies you need much higher visitor numbers to make money than you do for other types of promos.

Then, the look and feel of your site attracts a certain type of person – young males, older females, etc….; looking for adventure, match of wits, companionship, money, entertainment etc…. and so forth. Very different motivators and very different spending behaviors, again.

The more you know about the exact nature of your traffic, the better the projections you can make for your own site.

It can get pretty intricate to try to make any judgements that apply generally. I don’t think it’s really possible, it’s hard enough when one does have a lot of specific data.

As newbie, you also have slightly different objectives than as old timer. If you live in an area and target players where advertising is legal, you can tweak according to the above from the start by designing and purchasing appropriate campagins.

If you are dependent on natural search engine traffic, you do need to try to get volume first, and the visitors have to see your site as something to bookmark because it stood out from the crowd for some reason. You need to build up traffic, get people to come back to YOU for more. Get them to tell their friends that YOUR site offered something different that they liked. You have got to be UNIQUE!

Whatever you do, don’t waste your time and resources buying bulk traffic, 99% of it is fake and will do absolutely nothing for you.
