    hi everyone
    now i finally started on my 1st real webpage
    and now i see finally real cool statistics
    also the robots (i was not able to see this on my freeboard)
    omg and i did not even know that there are so many robots who just spamming around to steal e-mail addys or whatever

    well i see now 1 spam robot vistis my site already daily and just eats bandwith
    is there a way to stop them from coming to your site?

    you can redirect based on ip or referrer. Basically, you want to write a cloaking script except you’re sending bad bots to a 404 page…just make sure the ip address doesn’t lead to a nameserver.

    oh my thats very technical
    but i do read here the workd cloaking
    lol
    and that already scares me
    didnt sites getting banned from google for cloaking?
    i better just let all how it is,
    i would hate to make any mistake, and i am really not so good at this things.

    What software is your message board?

    Go to the website for that software and find a “mod” you can install that prevents bots from posting.

    my directory is getting hit by a .cn website all the time , 150-200 submission daily and driving me crazy lol

    Hi all,

    what drives me crazy is here we are suppose to be so tech and all that .. and yet it seems impossible for authorities to find out where spammers come from … who’s doing it ..

    its BS! especially spam email. there should be a set up where your true email addy is posted in the “from” …. or it simply isn’t allowed out.

    I know I’m simple… but I can’t get past this is a very doable matter.

    Yeah i see at the statistics of my host
    in robots this
    Java (often Spam bot)
    and then if i click on in i get up that page with all the harvester agents
