    hi everyone
    lol
not a newbie on board but now a newbie in bulding my own site

    i found http://www.bluevoda.com site builder
they state big it would be very easy

and then you must have Vodahost
    to upload your page

well has anyone experience with this?
    what do you think about?
does it look to easy to be good?
If i build now the site with bluevoda.com
does this mean i must always have it hosted at voda host?
I think they are in USA, so maybe better not to host a gambling site there?

    Appreciate any info and help
    thank you
    Marina

I don’t familiar with bluevoda.com, maybe it’s a good service, but I can recommend to use dayanahost.com as a hosting provider and Joomla as a CMS.

I don’t use Joomla, because I prefer to develop my site by myself with php and mysql database, but I heard a lot of good words about Joomla.

    Hi,
I’m not so good with the tech. side of our business but I saw you needed a bit of help,
From my little experience if you’re not sure about something check it well, from all sides before going in it.
You’re doing a clever thing posting here and waiting for comments, try to search info about them in a more active way, go to their FAQ or contact someone who works there/ works with them.
Get all your questions answered and then decide.

    And most important of all,
    Good luck!!

If you’re starting to host I would steer clear of the US. Building a simple non dynamic site is not too difficult. There are lots of free web templates at http://www.oswd.org/ and http://www.openwebdesign.org/.

I heard that Joomla has a pretty steep learning curve to get into from a non programming background.

If you are going to ceate a new message board and try to move your current community (I would recommend that) invest in a VB bulletin licence and you will be able to optimize it properly and it is not as prone to hacking and spamming as others.

Then I would start by adding plain HTML pages on a template (you can get them free as mentioned above, or custom made very cheaply).

It’s easy that way, and the engines like it. Once you get the hang of it you can always change to a more complex program.

thank you all so much for taking the time to reply
yeah i will take care and look really at all very good
i have a bravenet hosting package
which i purchased some time ago already
    they are located in canada
well never know what will be with canada bout the gambling law hm?
but i think i start with that host.

This Blue voda and voda host looks really great
lot of tools, lot of bandwith
but well, they are in USA how i see it
so this is sure not good right now
might be law changes within 2 years
    lets hope
