I have been running poker affiliate sites for a couple years now and am interested in trying my hand at casino affiliating.

Are there any tutorials around that I could read on how to start up a casino affiliate site?

Do I follow the same rules as when I started my poker sites?

    Thanks.

I would say that in general its quite similar. The keys to succeeding are as always content related. Give your visitors quality updated casino content concerning all casino games.

The Basic Order of things remains the same
    1) Keyword research
    2) SEO friendly design and HTML
    3) Writing Quality content + Obtaining good links

A question you should ask yourself that you probably didnt think of promoting poker is Do you want to create an “all in 1” site dealing with all casino games or go for game specific sites.

    Hope this helps

Which is more profitable? Having one all inclusive casino site or breaking down sites by game?

Or does it not really show to be profitable one way or an other?

I have seen affiliates be profitable in both instances. I don’t think that one is particularly better than the other. It’s all about what you want to concentrate on and provide to your visitors. FYI, slots seem to be the most popular game with the casinos.

I’m a bit confused on how to promote online casino games since there is so much more chance involved in most games, like slots, roulette, etc.

There are some strategy articles to write about, but what other content can you put up about slots? Do you do reviews on certain casino’s slots programs?

OR do you simply list the slots that are doing best? Do casinos have promotional banners that show live progressive slot jackpots, etc?

    Lots of questions sorry.

Yes, that is a popular way to do it. Review slots by casino software and provide details of how the game is played.

By best, what do you mean? I would take some time to play some slots and get a feel for what is involved. Then you will know first hand as a player, what other players are looking for in a slots game.

Yes, most affiliate programs have Progressive Jackpot ticker banners, including ours.

I’m a big fan of “spreading the risk” as SE’s can be a very tricky and wimsy “partner” having many sites feels more correct to me. ALTHOUGH there are many success stories that would show the other approach works well. More of a matter of taste I would say
