Many problems with Gambling Wages right now:
1) Haven’t been paid since February. Need to get paid.
2) No response via the GW internal messaging system for the past 3.5 weeks, which is their stated preferred means of communication
3) CoolCat Casino affiliate links are not working and have not been for a few days
4) CoolCat Casino stats are down and have been for a few days
5) Gambling Wages support number (800-549-7407) is down. This is the number given on their “Contact Us” page. It does not ring when dialed. Nothing happens.
6) Gambling Wages marketing area is providing links to promotional landing pages that are expired. The pages are there, yet apparently the offers are no longer be honored. As affiliates, we’re using the links GW is providing, and when players follow them, they’re being told by the casino the offers are expired. There is no mention of any expiry date anywhere in the marketing materials, and GW is still giving the affiliate links out to affiliates.
This is getting concerning. Could use a little help.

May 25, 2007 at 4:29 pm #737904AnonymousInactiveUpdate for those interested, and for what it’s worth. Just spoke with Nicolas on the phone. My overall feeling after the conversation is that they’re really trying, but have been and still are a bit overwhelmed. He was very reassuring that he is on it and all will be resolved. Here’s the status on previously mentioned issues:
1) Their records show March as being paid, so they’re looking into it and assure me it will be resolved asap
2) Apparently internal messaging system is swamped so priority is being given to email and phone support
3) Resolved
4) Resolved
5) 800 number is back up and working. Nicolas himself answered the phone on one or two rings
6) Nicolas says they’re aware of this issue these will all be straightened and fully up to date by the end of the day. He says that players who were denied promotional offers will be able to have them honored
Thanks Nicolas.

May 25, 2007 at 5:03 pm #737908AnonymousInactiveThey have about the worst player reputation you can think of, and aff managers there drop like flies. The last one lasted an unusual amount of time.

As a followup, it appears I received March/April payment today. Phew! Thanks Nicolas.

casinobonusguy wrote:Hey Cowboy,
I am very glad you received your payment. However, I am not trying to criticize GamblingWages no matter what they do, but I keep in mind all the issues they’ve always had, such as:
-Late payments every month. You are stating yourself that you just received a payment for March and April, while it’s June already.
– Not all of the affiliates get payments on the same day. It says that we have to get paid by the 15th business day, so that they can select which affiliate gets paid first. You never know when to expect your payment, and therefore it’s always unclear whether they forgot about your payment this time or not. I am sure a lot of affiliates from this forum had to contact them more then just a couple of times in order to get the payment.
-Constant issues with the players. CasinoMeister gave them lots of opportunities. They’ve been removed from the rogue and not recommended list several times, but they always make it back there
-Finally, Dominque made a good point: their affiliate managers change all the time. I remember John Hartley, then Jon-Jon Keegan coming for few months and leaving. Natalie Stewart stayed there for 2 years, however she suddenly left, and from what I hear it’s because she could not take it there anymore and disagreed with their business ethics. I don’t mean to put Natalie on the Spot and she is so professional she would never say much about them anyway.Anyways, I would like to say again, that I am not trying to slam them, but I am worried that there are a lot of other affiliates out there, maybe from other countries who do post here and who are unpaid. Besides, if this is the way they treat us, webmasters who bring them traffic, how do they treat players?
So i would like to see a show of hands , who got paid and who didnt? If payments have started to roll out i would think in a matter of days we should all have our money. All the other casinos manage to pay us all on the same day or withing a few days if the affiliates are being mailed checks. So maybe nicolas can give us all a firm date on when the last affiliate will be paid .We dont want to hear 1 has been paid but many are not .We all deserve to be treated the same
June 1, 2007 at 8:32 pm #738587AnonymousInactiveI understand your frustration, and completely agree there are all kinds of issues with Gambling Wages, and more than enough legitimate reasons to gripe about them and to choose not to promote them.
My point is that when they finally do something good/helpful (i.e. their point person answers the phone on the first ring) and they get bashed for that too, it creates the impression that no matter what they do, people like you will complain. I don’t think that’s the message we want to be sending or the atmosphere we want to create here.
Many of us (including myself sometimes) tend to come to the forum and post only when there’s a problem, which isn’t good for the overall balance and vibe in the forum here. For my part, I’m trying to be a little more conscious of that fact and acknowledge the good when it occurs, and not just the difficulties.
If I were you, and I was having an ongoing unresolved issue, and another affiliate posted an actual phone number that they called and got a person who answered on one ring and resolved quite a few of their issues, I would pick up the phone immediately and make that call rather than snicker about how quickly they answered the phone(!!)
That said, life’s too short. We should be promoting programs who treat us the way we want to be treated. Once the issues are known and all out on the table as they clearly are now, if you or I continue to promote them and continue to have problems, who do we ultimately have to blame?

Had no problem since and I like giving everyone a second go, I think although they may be having problems they are trying to fix them with the resources they have. For now, im sticking to them
