Okay, I should have everything booked up for this trip as of a month ago, but I want to make EXTRA sure. I can’t seem to find the phone number to the Atlantis resort, although I did call the phone number listed in the other thread in which I received a special CAP Spring Break reservations answering machine.
I’m mainly asking because I don’t see any charges besides flight on my credit card bill. I wasn’t sure when the hotel was going to charge, so I figured I’d bring it up in a new thread. If all is well, great! If not, “uh oh.”
May 22, 2007 at 12:24 am #737515AnonymousInactiveI am also curious as I have called my credit card company and haven’t seen a hotel charge either.
May 22, 2007 at 12:56 am #737519AnonymousInactiveSame here. No charge to my American Express card yet.
I spoke with the CAP folks last week and was told rooms were still available at the group rate so I’m hopeful that my room is booked at Atlantis.
May 22, 2007 at 1:32 am #737523vladcizsolMemberEverything was supposed to be submitted to the Atlantis today. And Everyone should recieve their hotel confirmation numbers this week. Your rooms are reserved and safe in our Block. We are sold out of Royal Tower Rooms but we still have rooms in the Coral and Beach Towers.
If you want to check status at any time you can call Beverly or Karen at:

May 22, 2007 at 3:48 pm #737578AnonymousInactiveWhich rooms are the asop finalists from London in? :wink-wink
May 22, 2007 at 5:13 pm #737589AnonymousInactiveI too am confused about the ASOP prize package. I thought i had registered the first couple of days the site launched, but received an email (from Alex) saying we hadn’t registered. I registered (a 2nd time i think), but didn’t request a room, because i thought it was sorted.
Hey Prof, are the hotel rooms sorted for us London ASOP guys?
Toga, Toga, TOGA, TOGA
TOGA TOGA TOGA!May 22, 2007 at 6:21 pm #737609vladcizsolMemberYes the London Rooms are supposed to be sorted. I know Alex sent a list over to Beverly and I believe all you ASOPers are staying in the Coral or Beach Towers. I will ask her which ones exactly when we chat again tomorrow.

Panama, Mexico and Canada must have a passport to enter or re-enter
the United States.”What’s all this about? I’ve never been to the US and wouldn’t consider it now, I don’t know if they would let me in. What exactly should we bring with us document wise? (sorry, I’ve never been out of the EU)

Basically you need a passport to fly almost anywhere these days. If you have a valid passport then you will have no problems entering or leaving the USA or anywhere in the world.May 22, 2007 at 11:49 pm #737626AnonymousInactivePerhaps they didn’t word it properly – I know I need a passport but it seems to say it has to be a passport that would be good for US entry, even though I’ve never been there or have any intention to go.
May 23, 2007 at 12:58 am #737635AnonymousInactiveLOL I don’t think the USA has gone that route yet, but you never know about the future. LMAO It seems to be “anything goes” with them these days.
May 23, 2007 at 1:59 am #737642AnonymousInactiveMost EU countries, have a visa waiver with the US (and visa versa.. oh, that’s kinda funny). Meaning, you can just show up at US immigration, with a valid passport and should be allowed to enter.
May 24, 2007 at 9:03 pm #737851AnonymousInactiveI just received my hotel confirmation. I believe that I selected the snorkeling option when I signed up but I don’t see it on the confirmation. Is this still on? I see the deep sea fishing on there and I am wondering if I need to confirm going on that for the snorkeling.

Unfortunately the Snorkeling Cruise was one of several events not sponsored so it will not be available.
The Good News
On Sunday we do have the Golf Tournament, Bacardi Rum Factory and city tour, and my favorite; Deep Sea Fishing. Additionally Atlantis does offer snorkeling , dolphin, shark and stingray encounters and full scuba diving that you can purchase directly so its an available option if you want to spend some time on the reefs.May 25, 2007 at 4:15 am #737872AnonymousInactiveThat’s too bad there were no sponsors.I think I’ll try my hand at golf and see how much I slow everyone down.
If anyone wants to do snorkeling on one of the other days let me know, I will be leaving on the 14th so I will be there for quite a while. It would be nice to find an activity partner for this.
