May 8, 2007 at 5:17 pm #736000AnonymousInactivein 2005 I knew nothing about online gambling, affiliates, I even didn’t know html well. My friend said to me that I could earn money there and I ordered a site in a one company. And I started to learn, learn and learn.
May 8, 2007 at 5:36 pm #736003AnonymousInactiveI knew about video poker machines at the bar around the corner!
May 8, 2007 at 5:58 pm #736006vladcizsolMemberI started as a retail affiliate then drifted over to gambling as another vertical. I gambled offline but had no idea you could do it online and thought most of the games back then were crappy (1998). Then I figured hell if people wanted to play and I could earn money it seemed like a good thing to promote.
May 8, 2007 at 7:00 pm #736013biggygMemberWe only started this madness in 2006 .We already owned websites in every other niche so we started this just to get our feet wet .We cheated a bit and bought up older established websites just to pretend we knew what we were doing. Now i think we know what we are doing but I could be wrong:1circling
May 8, 2007 at 7:06 pm #736014AnonymousInactiveI played online poker and saw that websites offered incentive deals to get people to sign up with them. So I figured they had to be getting paid on top of that. I then found out that poker rooms had affiliate programs. Then I found CAP and it all began…
May 8, 2007 at 7:13 pm #736016AnonymousInactiveI didn’t know diddly, stumbled into it, made some money by happenstance. When I started to investigate casinos I ended up being a BJ bonus hunter for a while, back in the day before wagering requirements.
Got bored quickly with that but it got me looking the casinos over.

May 14, 2007 at 7:33 pm #736788AnonymousInactiveI used to work in the industry so knew a fair bit about it. Like most things its no easy way to make a quick buck, but if you stick to the basics of good content and trying to add value then you will do ok in the end.

May 16, 2007 at 5:30 am #736992AnonymousGuestHi all,
did my homework.
2 places making money back when I started ….. porn and gambling.
did both. then my son got old enough I was worried he’d find a porn site I’d made … and went straight to gambling …. not even smart enough to sell the porn sites I’d created and were making money. somebody cleaned up there but all I wanted was out.
btw: 1.5 years before all that……… didn’t know how to type. use a computer …… or had barely heard of the net.
after 30+ years in a family business decided it was leave ….. or lose family …. I left. taught myself to type an lived off my life savings to get to where I am now. my father still has an open mouth gasp when we see each other and its worth a million dollars and sex with heather locklear …….. though the second would have to be a few seconds thinking over before …….
