MemberGuys I am not ready to issue a public warning just yet, but I am quite worried about Hype gaming. They started out great, but after January they seemed to have taken a turn for the worse with respects to payments to players and affiliates. They also are getting less and less responsive. I checked with our accounting department and found out that they owe CAP over $14,000 so I am not a happy camper. I am going to have Warren chase them down for a conference call next week and see if I cant get a better feel on what direction they are headed.

InactiveI didn’t see Hype at the conference, but they could have been there anyway. I tend to get too involved in conversations to see who may be also walking around at the time.
I spent some time with them in London, and I liked them.
I made one attempt to reach someone and it was unsuccessful.
I wonder what happened, I love their software. I hope they get it solved.

InactiveSeriously these guys have been “on the edge” for months. It seems to me that they & Inchilli aren’t gonna last the course and I’d really advise dumping them asap – it’s only a question of time. The track record of the casino owners doesn’t fill me with confidence either. Heard things during my research about them just dumping players in the past.
Software is very good (although I never promoted them myself due to my “1 year minimum operation” policy on any s/ware that isn’t Crypto/MG or Wagerworks) and maybe it will stick in time, but things ain’t looking good on the Ops front. Players have been screaming about payments for months now.

InactiveThey were not there Dom, I am 95% sure these guys are done in at least with the player preferred software, from what I know is player preferred is the screwed up one and they don’t work with or provide support to the operators of the casinos. Last time I chatted to Steve in London he was looking at other software and staying in the business. I have not heard a word from him or Justin in about 2 months so who knows what is going on but I am getting ticked off and ready to yank down banners.

InactiveI hope someone decent buys the software and uses it in a responsible manner.
I hate to see it go, it’s really very good.
I heard from Justin a couple weeks ago but no info about anything…he was unnaturally taciturn.

MemberIs it the software or a banking issue? I heard it was banking. I have never heard anyone complain about the software…

InactiveProfessor wrote:Is it the software or a banking issue? I heard it was banking. I have never heard anyone complain about the software…There were initially one or two relatively minor bugs that the players found, but nothing major. The software seems good and is popular with players. It’s definately a money issue.

InactiveSome of the slots are spectacular. The software is great!

InactiveI believe a change is coming soon… I know players that have been paid recently (within the last day or 2). I don’t think PP will go away, personally.
I don’t know if the Hype name will stick around, but I hope so… My belief is that they need to clear the Hype name before creating another PP casino.
There are only 2 ways that this can shake out well for PP:
1. Clear Hype name and make a drastic management change to get players and affiliates paid quickly.
2. Kill Hype and ONLY sell to some team with clout (Like a Golden Palace, Bodog, etc – a name with recognition)
I don’t see any other way to pull out of this slump. I’m sure that is what is being discussed currently.
