    Here’s an email that I received from Neteller today.

    The third-party provider for the NETELLER Card has very recently advised that under the rules relating to the Cirrus/Maestro Network, it can no longer support those branded cards. This affects your NETELLER Card.

    Important dates

    Effective immediately, you will not be able to withdraw funds from your e-wallet to your NETELLER Card. However, you will have until May 2, 2007 to use the funds that are already on your Card.

    To avoid possible inconvenience, we highly recommend you use all of the existing funds on your Card before this date. After that time, we will credit remaining funds back to your NETELLER e-wallet. This may take several business days, but we assure you that your funds continue to be safe and secure.

    Other withdrawal options

    In the interim, you will continue to have access to the following withdrawal options based on your country of residence:

    Cheque
    Bank transfer
    Member wire

    hi,

    i’ve got this mail too this morning.

    what are the possibilities we have.

    but no possibility for me for bank-wire or cheque.

    i urgently need a debit card.

    is there someone else in the same situation?

    what can we do now?

    This is really annoying, I don’t know of any other debit card solution either.

    I requested a cheque from them last night and they sent back a email over night suggesting I try wire transfer. So I have to get a call back sometime tonight for them to get my australian bank account details. Till I recieved this email I didn’t think they did direct wires to Australian bank accounts. This will at least beat banking cheques, they take ages to get here and even longer for banks to process them!

    This is the email I received from them on the 17 June , when I queried when we would be receiving the Neteller cards

    Thank you for your email. At this time we do not have a set date for the release of the NETELLER card. We do anticipate this being released in the next couple of weeks. Once the release is announced you will need to request the new card online or you may contact NETELLER to request this. Please be sure that your mailing address is up to date by going to the options page in your NETELLER account. Stay tuned for more information over the coming weeks.     NETELLER Member Update – The NETELLER Card

    and it seems at least NETELLER members in UK have received notification from NETELLER about delivery of the new card.
