The Good News
1. We have a LARGE number of affiliate sign ups for CAP Spring Break in Atlantis, it’s going to be one of our best years yet. All of the top affiliates are coming as usual and we are going to have a FABULOUS time in the Bahamas.
2. Most of the Sunday Events are now sponsored. You will have the opportunity to play Golf at The World Famous Ocean Club (See the latest James Bond Movie; Casino Royale) compliments of GNUF or you can tour the Bacardi Rum Factory and sample all the rums (count me in:cool: ) thanks to Grand Prive Affiliates. I am personally going Deep Sea Fishing with Referback and we are going to have to make this into a tournament as to who gets the biggest catch of the day!!!
3. We have great speakers lined up for Saturday. Attorney Chris Rusch is going to teach us the finer points about setting up offshore corporations and banking. Scottie Claiborne is covering SEO. We have several surprise speakers that will go over diversification into new markets and we have a great panel discussion group which includes Me, Dom, J Todd and Michael Corfman representing affiliates and four Affiliate Managers who will discuss “The Road Ahead” and interact with you guys in the audience.
4. The Rooms WILL sell out so we have a full house of people ready to show Atlantis just how Affiliates Roll!
5. Jenny Woo will be there poolside and on the beach in all her glory. That alone makes the trip worth it! :Nod:
The Bad News
A lot of the programs who ALWAYS sponsored events in the past are concerned that the affiliates in attendence ONLY market to North America. I have done my best to let them know that we are all marketing to a world audience now and that US and Canadian Affiliates are STILL a force in the industry and that we are commited to the game. Even though they KNOW we have a ton of top affiliates there I keep getting “We are concentrating our marketing efforts on European affiliates now. We will definitly be in Barcelona this fall, but we arent sure if we can come to the Bahamas”
We need your help
This isn’t just about CAP or CAP Spring Break. We are all going to have a great time even if people dont sponsor dinner on Friday and Saturday. I am going to see all my friends and network with everyone. I intend on catching some great fish and killing off some brain cells just like we do every year. What I do think IS important though is that North American affiliates NOT get written off as no longer relevant or worth pursuing. We can’t allow that myth to go on. We essentially built this industry and I will be damned if I am going anywhere. I am in this for the long haul.Please ask the programs you are working with and supporting to support US. It’s not the damned free meal that matters, it’s the respect and acknowledgment that counts. Hopefully with a little prodding we can get sponsors for Friday and Saturday night’s dinner. That’s all that’s currently missing and I really want those to be evening events we will remember for years to come.
So what I am asking is “Put the Bug in your favorite affiliate managers ear” Tell them to “Support North American Affiliates and OUR industry event”

Ditto that! What a damn shame that they forget those that have always stood by them! We are all changing over to Europe markets as fast as possible they must not be thinking clearly here.
