I was doing some checking on e-wallets and what they offer etc and when it came click2pay’s turn, I couldn’t find any information. There is a disclaimer on the front page stating they no longer take US customers. They tell you how to deposit, they tell you about their fees, they tell you about their debit card, they tell you all sorts of things but they don’t tell you that existing US customers can no longer use their debit card or apply for one. They do not tell you the first thing about withdrawals… its not mentioned anywhere on the site. So I called C2P and spoke with Matthew, who explained everything to me. Basically existing US customers are welcome to use C2P to make deposits (they make money on every transaction) to casinos but they aren’t welcome to take any of it back. The withdrawal limit is set to $1500 and in the last 6 hours there’s been another change to payouts. They’ve somehow lost their only ACH method of pay so now any withdrawals will be by check only and mailed. :dafingers
I asked him why they even bothered to do any kind of business with US based customers when it occurred to me that as long as people are willing to use them knowing they can’t get their money back out in a reasonable manner or timeframe, why should they look a gifthorse in the mouth? They make money with every transaction. No wonder they haven’t thrown the US players out. :slapface:
I think we as affiliates have done our job a little too well. Our players now think they have to go through a web wallet to make a deposit. This is not the case. With prepaid debit cards and gift cards, casinos are taking payment directly from the card and eliminating the middle man (Neteller, C2P etc) and those annoying $1 and $2 charges. Plus the rate of acceptance is increasing. We need to pull the players away from the dark side and direct them to using the cc/dc directly or use ecocard. It may be slow and bit pricey but you CAN get your money from ecocard. :banger:
I’ve also seen a strange phenomenon occurring with players and deposits at some (not all or even most) casinos and I think it may be the more a problem with the casino than the processor, if you know what I mean. Seems some casino processors are having problems processing debit or credit cards of any kind on deposits for less than $100. Anything lower than the 100 is declined but 100 and up is immediately accepted. And the word is getting out that if you want to make a deposit and make sure that its accepted, use $100 or more. Does that seem strange to anyone else?? :tooconfus
