Barney Frank confirmed to the Financial Times that he is seeking to repeal the UIGEA. He called the UIGEA one of the “stupidest laws” that’s ever passed.

Frank is chairman of the House financial services committee. Also working to repeal the UIGEA is John Conyers, chairman of the House judiciary committee.
