EDIT: BEETER? Stupid keyboard…BETTER!
February 16, 2007 at 10:44 am #727537AnonymousInactiveHi ya, Dean!
Whatcha doing up here? I usually hang out below!
I am so happy you think this has potential… I have been hoping for a good reaction and wondering if others would see the potential as well. Thank goodness that — so far — it’s positive.
I know there will be some who don’t agree that this is a good way to go about things, but that’s ok. What’s importatnt to realize is that our partners are very serious about this issue… and collectively their numbers are somewhere in the neighborhood of 6 million… and thats a nice neighborhood.
And I want to make it perfectly clear that I have had a TON of help on this project. Anthony, the APCW Auditing director, has worked his ass off, too. He is solely responsible for one of next week’s continuing “big announcements”.
See… now I already have you waiting again! :allears:
February 16, 2007 at 11:13 am #727544AnonymousInactiveMy husband is a vet and you can bet he is all for it!
February 16, 2007 at 11:24 am #727545AnonymousInactiveWay to go, J. Todd. Power in numbers, and the more on board, the merrier !
The Veterans, the WTO, when blair steps down, the UK – the more allies the better. We must win this fight……and yes, best to start from within.
Keep the good news coming……..J. Todd for President ????
February 16, 2007 at 11:33 am #727546AnonymousInactiveMate it is a WORKABLE solution in a climate of no solutions and abject fear…by players, webmasters, casinos and poker rooms.
Vets are owed the gratitude of any nation because they are out there doing something and are one big team. Forget the politics of war, it can never please everyone, let history debate the rights and wrongs of conflict, you must fight for what you believe and the time to fight, as we know, is now.
One couldn’t ask for better people to stand beside, people who know what conflict and sacrifice in the name of freedom is all about.
February 16, 2007 at 1:08 pm #727554AnonymousInactiveMy brother is 82nd Airbornne, and has been enlisted since 1989. Thank God, he’s been lucky so far – overseas 7 times and hasn’t been injured once… but, know that’s not the “norm” – and we know alot that haven’t been so lucky….
including their familys that are trying to survive on pennies! It’s a total shame that the Vets in this country aren’t being properly taken care of financially in so many ways.
They all lay thier LIVES down, and give up SO much for this country!!I am all for, and am willing to help as much as I can, in your fight and idea.
I will also be forwarding your Video to my brother to watch – and I can say with 100% surity that he will be behind this fight as well.I just want to mainly post as a webmaster, and family member of the Armed Forces – Thankyou APCW. GREAT IDEA!
February 16, 2007 at 1:28 pm #727556AnonymousInactiveThis REALLY needs to be in the main forum! Moderator(s) WTF? Harrahs haven’t been at your pocket too?????
February 16, 2007 at 1:42 pm #727558vladcizsolMemberDeaning its in the APCW area where it will be visible for a MUCH longer time. Yes Harrahs robbed my pockets too, and I am a Veteran too. I am certainly NOT trying to hide the post, CAP has always been very supportive of APCW since the start, even before there were videos. Thank You.
February 16, 2007 at 2:57 pm #727577AnonymousInactiveI Would have thought high visibility would have been paramount at this point in time. Longevity don’t mean squat if we don’t have an industry eh?
Whack it in the main forum for a few days THEN move it if you have/need to IMHO.
I fully realise you have been supportive, but I hope you also understand that this issue needs to be at the forefront and not on a backburner, you of all people should know how apathetic webmasters/casinos/poker rooms/players can be…sometime it has to be a pie in the face effort for people to wake up Louie!
February 16, 2007 at 3:06 pm #727582vladcizsolMemberI dont consider any part of CAP the Backburner. As admin I try to get everyone to visit all the forum areas so we dont have a log jam in one section, if I didnt do that then everyone would post everything in one section and it would be a mess with this much volume of posts everyday.
I will post a link to this weeks video in the main area for a few days, but again I dont think any part of CAP is back burner.
February 16, 2007 at 3:42 pm #727586AnonymousInactive
CAP is an essential part of APCW. We constantly work together. In fact Lou has gone out of his way to assist the APCW. There is no back burners here. We are all working for a common goal. :cheers:This is the time we need everyone to come together.
Please if you have not done so, join APCW, your membership is crucial for our successFebruary 16, 2007 at 7:37 pm #727610AnonymousInactiveThank you all for the great support in thei endeavor…
Thank you, Lou, for helping APCW spread the word week after week…
Than you, Dean, for your commitement and enthusiasm…
Let’s all remember this could be a win, win, win situation and not allow ourselves to be sidetracked or divided.
February 16, 2007 at 7:57 pm #727612AnonymousInactiveGreat concept, now to convince the jesus freaks that its in everyones best interest including the big mans to look into this further.
Does this plan seek to regulate poker or all forms of gaming? I got the impression from the video that it was looking for that poker carve out as is the PPA.

NO EXEMPTIONS.
We seek to have the entire industry in a regulated… casino, poker, horses, bingo, sports…
February 17, 2007 at 7:35 am #727652AnonymousInactiveMost people use “new posts” when they come to CAP and see all the forums. If you don’t, try to get in the habit, because all the sections contain very important posts from time to time that directly affect you. Like the professor said, the general discussion area is too busy. Posts there disappear quickly since so many are generated. The “new posts” function is the way to go to stay up to date on your business.
That said, this development is most important and should be all over the place.
We should all cover it on a page on our websites and link to each other to boost this up top in google! I will talk to G&C to see about getting this done.
