    Hi,

I’ve recently moved into the business and am still in the process of setting up my site.

    Please take a look http://www.thegamblingindex.com

Any advice/suggestions on how I could improve would be very welcome.

    Thanks

Yeah, way too many banners. If I were a surfer I would click away because I know it is just advertising and not promotion of ‘good quality’.

I guess I’m not with the flow. the page I saw had an enter link, with no advertising on that page.

most people lose a ton of traffic the minute they have to click thru to another page. my experience anyway. while I agree too many banners may not be good: I think you should advertise at every op especially since gambling is an impulse situation for many players.

    my 2 cents

    Hi,

Thanks for the advice, click through page now removed.

Where do you think banners could be removed from?

    Any other advice.

    Thanks again.

    Hello,

I am also new to this all, but have a background in design…

Your page is divided into 3 columns, but then you have all your banners and text spread haphazardly throughout, resulting in a confusing sight with nothing for the eyes to focus on or draw a viewers attention to. Perhaps if your page divides were made clearer, your page may become easier read and viewers attentions can be directed i.e. using background colour – don’t go crazy, choose one or two colours of similar or complimenting tones.

Also if you chose to keep your banners grouped together in one or two sections – just a strip at the top etc, this will help add order to your page. Any banners which you wish to draw extra special attention to can be then placed apart from these.

    I hope this helps a little…
