Congratulations to Julie A who hit a $1,745,475 Progressive Jackpot on New Years Eve.
Julie tell us how it felt to hit that record breaking Jackpot.
I was at home playing Crazy 80’s at Captain Cooks Casino and I started to get all excited when I won $499. I then got it up to $700 and decided to cash in $500 and play the remaining $200 on King Cashalot as the Jackpot was over 1.5 Million. I had just started playing and saw three Kings, then four, then five, OH MY GOD! No way! My heart was beating right out of my chest! I sat there looking at it for around 10 minutes, walked away from my computer and then I went back again and again. I showed my husband and he made me call the call centre because he didn’t believe me. My husband almost fell down the stairs! It was like a miracle! A guardian angel is looking out for me!How long have you been playing online?
I’ve been playing at Captain Cooks Casino for about 2 years. I really love all the games, especially the progressives now!What do you like about playing online?
I find playing online so much more relaxing than going to a land based casino. All the people there are distracting and playing online means I don’t even need to leave my own home.When do you usually sit down to play?
My favorite time to play is around midnight when there is no one around to bug me! I work shifts though so usually manage to squeeze in a few hours at Captain Cooks once I get my daughter off to school.
Have you always been lucky?
Not at all! Before this big win I would have described myself as one of those down and out people!Is there anything special that you do for luck?
No not really. I have my favorite games so I play them until they get cold then if I’m not hitting anything I’ll move on to another game.What do you plan to do with your winnings?
I plan to give some to my mum and both of my sisters. I’ll also be putting a lot away for my daughter’s college fund and perhaps a car for her when she’s old enough; she’s only 10 at the moment. I also plan to get my mother and father in-law’s outside deck replaced.
Is there anything you would like to say to all the people out there who dream about hitting a jackpot?
It can happen to anybody!! I’ve been trying to convince my husband and sister that I have actually won for the last three days but they still don’t believe me!=====================================

that said Renee. she looks about as happy as I do … though my reasons are due to the NETeller situation … not because I just won nearly 2 million. lol.

I think i’d have a *shocked* look on my face too if I had just won close to 2mil. In fact I don’t even think I’d be able to sit upright. :highflyer
