Is anyone finding that conversions to real depositors is way off track in December and January?
I am sending them lots of quality traffic. The visitors are downloading the software but I am seeing virtually no new real depositing players. I have NEVER see it so low before so I am a little concerned.

I am mostly Poker (not casinos) and I am seeing virtually no new depositors over the last month. I’m not sure what is going on. My first inclination was to say that the operators are taking advantage of unsettling times and trying to screw us. But, it seems to be happening across the board. My traffic has actually been quite good, but my sign-ups appear negligible.
Maybe there is fear of commital from players ? Are they afraid of UIGEA ? I think that the majority of people are still not even aware that this bill was passed, let alone what its implications are.
Define cool. We arent talking revenues we are talking conversion to real depositing players. Was December good for you in terms of conversions to reals?
I did fine in December in terms of Revenue, but I am worried that revenues will decay over time if we dont keep the pipe line full with new depositors. I am finding that in my case NEW depositors have dropped off significantly at Referback.
If most others have having good conversions to reals with Referback then its a fluke for me and I wont get too alarmed, but IF this problem with conversions is a common one then I may want to shift traffic around.
Yeah I am seeing an alarming drop off as well D. At Referback its really pronounced as in 0 depositors. Thats a killer

Good $ bottomline. G&C was doing a free spin promo, that gives them a lot of lookie loos and free players.
That was december. January so far is not good, I think the promo is wearing thin. (75% return visitors at G&C, so promos get used up fast)
I think the promo is wore out as well, I do get new players at other places that are not microgaming casinos for some reason. We should do a poll or something to see how extensive this is.

same thing here – 0 new dep players in december compared to at least 5 each and every previous month…

I think that’s 20 new depositors. You think that’s good? That’s crappy for me. I do a lot better at 400 and CR. Looking at the conversions that is nothing to write home about as far as I am concerned. The bottom line is good so I don’t care, but I have much better conversions elsewhere.
But so far this month I have only one new player, and it does look bad alltogether.

No 20 is not great, but compared to 0 or 1 its a virtual stampede of players. I get a lot more players at the other casinos I send the same traffic too also, thats my point. For some reason actual conversions to reals has fallen off a cliff at Referback.
It may not effect our bottom lines there this month or next, but in the near future it most certainly will.
I have long gotten used to bad conversions at Referback.
I attribute it to the fact that players are actually credited to the original aff for life across all properties.
So that means that a bunch of the folks I send to RB may already have signed under the professor or whoever, and while I may send them to a different casino I don’t get credit.
I thought about this long and hard before taking them on board, and decided I liked the long term effect, and it has proven to be true, I sail through bad conversions with a decent bottom line.
Also, I know people who haven’t sent a player in literally years and continue to be paid. One person I know makes between 5000 and 8000 a month and hasn’t sent a player in going on 4 years. (No, it’s not even one of the old guard biggies). He just has a couple of whales that appear loyal, and I suppose we send some of his old lifetime players back there periodically for him.
You can love that or hate that, and people’s opinions are usually divided on it. I hated it when I first got started. Now I decided I love it. I don’t see a lot of actual lifetime players around in other programs, and especially not whales.
I don’t generally send a lot of traffic there anymore since what happened – there will always be a small doubt in my mind that they caree more about them than me. But that said, my depositors this month are the norm so far and as Dom says, I always get a good level of play from my players and have no complaints over figures so far in recent months.
