Surprised this was moved from ‘General’ – it really needs some serious coverage here at CAP as the spam is on an unprecedented level.

Fair enough. I assumed that this section doesn’t get many eyes on it – I certainly don’t check in here myself all that often but perhaps I’m in the minority there.

Not likely. Many of the e-mails include e-mails addresses of other recipients – lots and lots of them.
They’re also sometimes being set up via complex redirects – too much effort for an individual targeting.
This is spam of a MASSIVE magnitude.
