I’ve noticed recently that following the UIGEA that a few of the old “baddies” are crawling back out of the woodwork and also a few affiliates starting to carry them. I’m posting this privately as one or two of these have not just a bad rep, but a thoroughly dubious one and I don’t want to put myself in the firing line.
I’m thinking people like Betroyal here and there are casinos like Connect2casino, African Palace, Crystal Palace and others that affiliates need to be warned about. Players are getting burned by these guys left, right and centre and if they burn players which isn’t good for anyone. They’d probably burn affiliates too for that matter.
If you look through the complaints forum at meister these days, there’s a not of old dodgy names obviously succeeding in pulling players in…more so than before the UIGEA I’m sure. Many with the help of affiliates. I’d like to see some more education for affiliates on the “bad” side of the industry if we could do that.
It needn’t be blatant – even if it’s only to ram home the fact that if a player isn’t happy with a casino you send them to then the aff will lose a potentially large amount, that’s a start. But some need to know more about who does/doesn’t fit this category.
Do most affs have access to this forum Prof? If so, maybe this is the place out of the line of sight of casinos to keep a list going?
Cheers
Simmo!

dom, i always thought when a shady casino goes under “new ownership“, that was there way of saying “hey… let us rip you off some more because we are the good guys…”
i know this is not necessarily true for established and reputable brands getting bought out, but i have never really trusted casinos with bad reputations under “new management”.
it just seems to convenient to me…

The people who do have access here are seasoned veterans who have displayed enough good sense that they probably wouldnt promote these types of programs. So posting down here is not going to help.
I would recommend posting in the Private Industry Discussions area:
http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/bb/private-industry-discussions.0195.html?
All registered members of CAP can see those threads. The general public cannot.
Note: Registered Casinos can see in that area too, so keep that in mind when posting.

Dom: Connectto may prove okay with the change, just that their history is appalling. And there is a small question mark still as to whether the original management have been retained by the new owners (not yet clarified).
November 23, 2006 at 8:28 am #716648AnonymousInactiveConnect2 may be under new ownership, but I am afraid as far as I am concerned, that brand has been spoilt to a point of no return.
November 23, 2006 at 1:22 pm #716667AnonymousInactiveI do believe in new people being able to do good with a not so good product.
If I didn’t, I would not have started many of the endeavors I attempted in my life.
Picking up a badly run business and turning it around is a skill and I always am willing to see if new owners will manage to do it.
Been there, done that myself in the past. (not with a casino, of course)
December 1, 2006 at 4:15 pm #717493AnonymousInactiveWagershare are the new owners from what I hear, how that will work out who knows I think they would be better off just killing that name “connectotcasino”, no matter who owns it, the players no the name and they no to warn others, have these online players don’t even realize casinos are changing ownership all the time and they don’t care, what the care about is the rep and a bad rep is hard to clean up after you have screwed players over for so many years.
