October 31, 2006 at 9:04 am #714106AnonymousInactiveI emailed support at ReferBack and said the would talk to the programmer for the rss feeds. now it works but there is no info on where these tournaments are at, I guess it riverbelle poker room since I copied the code from them but still, cant the programmer tell something about that, that the tournament are at riverbelle and add an aff link?
November 1, 2006 at 5:28 am #714188AnonymousInactiveDo yourself a huge favor DO NOT USE rss feeds. They are highly easily hacked into, especially the ones not programmed by youself.
November 1, 2006 at 9:03 am #714207AnonymousInactiveWhat do you mean by hacking? Can they hack and for example change my affiliate links?
REFERBACK? Whats your view on this?

No, I don’t believe so – the owner of an RSS feed CAN insert malicous scripts that will execute on the end users computer.. The scripts are usually executed to install viruses and malware. BUT if you only use feeds from trusted sources then this should not be a problem.
Your affiliate links cannot be replaced unless a users computer is infected (e.g. – browser first redirected through a proxy server where your affiliate links could then be replaced before the html is sent to the user). If you’re worried about it then use a click counter as it will hide affiliate links (also keeps ad blockers from blocking your links)
If you want to learn more about hacking RSS than search google for “feed injection”
as always, just my two cents

November 29, 2006 at 7:38 pm #717278AnonymousInactiveNot at all – this has been pushed to the senior developer to resolve however it is not the only task on his plate.
It will be resolved shortly – as it’s after 9pm here I will post an expected ETA on this tomorrow when he is in the office.
